A very attractive, late Georgian/ Regency period, bracket clock in the classic London style “Pad top” case. The fine quality mahogany veneered break arch, brass bound pad top, case with cast brass handle and cast brass feet. Silk lined, fish scale design, brass sound frests to the sides and to the front door. Full opening front door with brass mounted canted edges to the sides and cast brass bezel.
A fine quality, double fusee week going movement striking the hours on a bell and with a pull repeat mechanism that allows the last hour to be struck at will. Edge engraved backplate and a rear mounted bell. Engraved pendulum in the above the bob adjusting ‘ladder design’ and with a pendulum lock. White dial with Roman hour numerals, makers name and a set of original blued steel hands.
