Folding bagatelle games table

A superb miniature folding bagatelle games table, on its original extending stand, complete with cues and ivory balls, by W.Kitteridge, made from solid mahogany the top has an inlaid chess board of Birdseye maple, boxwood, tulipwood and rosewood, with cribbage boards either side, veneered in the same timbers. The top folds open to reveal the playing surface, the edges inlaid throughout, together with scoring holes, there is also a bridge with painted numbers which is also inlaid with the makers name W. Kitteridge. Believed to have been commissioned for the Great Exhibition held at Crystal Palace, London in 1851. W.Kitteridge were makers of full size folding bagatelle games tables and worked at Hassett Road, Homerton.
