A late 19th century boxed silver card case, with ivy leaf ‘bright cut’ motif on both sides with the initials ‘BMG’ on an oval plaque on one side, the case opens like a purse with two blue moire grosgrain pockets and lining which is in excellent condition, all in a red box with green/grey velvet and silk linings, labelled ‘Edmunds & Co, 67, Baker St, London’ inside the lid, on the front of the case is a coat of arms – a shield with an elephant above and two flags supported by two elephants on their back legs (at sides) and the motto ‘pour bon roy parvenira’, hallmarked for Chester 1898 with the makers mark either ‘AN’ or ‘NH’.
