A mid 19th Century brass bound coromandel ladies dressing case with retailers label for Ollivant & Botsford, Goldsmiths & c, 2 Exchange Street, Manchester, the top opening to reveal a blue velvet and leather lined interior containing twelve silver topped bottles and containers, all stamped with the makers mark JH, together with a removable pad with a selection of mother of pearl tools and scissors, the interior of the lid containers a removable mirror and stationary compartment. The fold down front reveals two drawers, one for papers and the other for writing on and for jewellery. The top lozenge engraved Mary A Martin 1864
