A really beautiful antique French tortoiseshell coin purse, the oval front panel with gold pique work and engraved decoration, with a plain shield cartouche. Ormolu surround and the clasp clicks shut very crisply. It opens to reveal a blue silk four compartment interior (which is original but worn), one of which has a locking clip impressed ‘Brevete‘ and a makers mark ‘Mson H. Sss’.
