A good brass inlaid rosewood writing slope by Edwards with recessed brass carrying handles, opening the slope reveals an original silver ink bottle, pen tray and lidded compartment, the slope with original tooled leather surface, under this is a compartment with secret drawers, there is also a trade label for Chrisp, Writing X Dressing case manufacturer, Cockspur Street, London & 49 New Bond Street, which is confusing as we are sure this is by Edwards.
