A very large antique brass bound walnut writing box of fine colour, with recessed brass carrying handles, bramah lock and key and side document drawer. The inside with a leather slope, two candle sconces, two inkwells, pen tray and secret compartment with four velvet lined drawers, inscribed ‘Presented to Mr James Bridge, by the Workpeople at Myrtle Grove Bleach Works– 1874’.
