A vintage Hungarian chess clock with timing mechanisms mounted within a blond wooden case. This mechanical analog clock features wind-up mechanisms which can be independently stopped by pushing a lever on the side of the clock. The dial has the words “MOM” and “Made in Hungary” printed on its face. Both the movements are in good working order.
These Hungarian-made chess clocks date from around 1950, these timers were used in many clubs and could be found in use at tournaments of all levels throughout the Soviet Union and satellite countries in the early to mid 1900s.
