A beautiful French Art Deco porcelain mantle clock by Sevres, attributed to Louis Sue & Andre Mare, unsigned or marked, which is to be expected and we feel the detail, style and quality authenticates the piece.

Louis Sue and Andre Mare, Frances premier Architects, designers and painters with a very distinctive style were pioneers of the Art Deco era, responsible for the interiors of Trans-Atlantic liners, notably the SS Ile de France.
Sue and Mare co-founded the Compagnie des Arts Francais in 1920 and at the very top of their profession designed and created exclusive one off items and interiors for their wealthy and discerning clients, namely Parfumiers Jean Patou, Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden.
