Based on the map by John Speed, this was first published in 1636 with German text verso. It is very similar to the map by Blaeu, of 1634, bearing Jansson’s name in the lower left corner, there are two scales instead of one, and there are minor changes to the lettering. This example has French text, probably published in 1649. Very good hand colouring, repaired at centre fold, some vertical creases.
