Pair of French Empire ormolu candlesticks are set on a circular base with unusually a decorated band around the top outside edge of the base comprising dots within diamonds, within this is a gadrooned moulding leading to the domed foot of the stem of the candlestick. The drip pan is original and has a decorative edge, the gilding is original and most importantly the threaded rod holding all together is also original. French
