An antique pair of tortoiseshell spring loaded folding lorgnette spectacles. Releasing the catch half way down allows the spectacles to pop out and unfold. Then simply fold the glasses together and return them to the holder. There is a chain ring at the bottom end of the holder to allow you to wear these around your neck, so they are available at all times.
