Warwick Castle- The South Face
Oil on canvas
Frame size: 35¼ x 48¼ inches / 89.5 x 122.5 cm
Stock Number: DON0885/aut12
This is a view of the south face of Warwick Castle with Caesar’s Tower on the south east corner of the building, the view is from River Island and the river is the River Avon. The south face of the Castle is popular with artists who normally compose the image from the Banbury Road Bridge to the east and the appeal of this painting is that it is from the less usual aspect.
