An antique portrait miniature painting by Luke Sullivan and signed with monogram LS and dated 1767 (?), in the original bracelet clasp frame with garnet border. 
Miniatures by him are rare because he started painting them late in life as he was mainly an engraver before. The sitter’s uniform shows he belonged to the infantry, either the 11th or 39th Regiment, which formerly had wide green striped facings becoming narrower, as shown, post 1760.
