An antique pair of Derby porcelain figures known as the Shepherd bagpiper and lady with lute.
The young man modelled with bagpipes and dog. The man is wearing a purple coat and yellow breeches. Incised to base No 301. The young girl modelled wearing a striped skirt, pink bodice and blue scarf, playing a lute (guitar) with a sheep at her side.
He has restoration to feathers on hat, left hand, both sides of bocage and centre of scrolled base. Flaking to back of base. She has restoration to scarf plumes, left hand, sheep’s left ear, left and right side of bocage and right hand side of scrolled base.
