A large and unusual antique French thermometer incorporating a bronze of Napoleon standing upon a silvered bronze column. The base of patinated bronze with bracket feet and having stiff leaf moulding and a gilt bronze wreath. The cylindrical silvered bronze column with both Réaumur and Farenheit scales. The bronze of Napoleon has him with one arm tucked into his coat and the other holding a document.
