Stock number: IH.N387/0121
A very attractive and compact pair of antique French opera glasses, in perfect translucent pale blue enamel over an engine-turned base, gilt-metal and with Mother o’ Pearl eye-pieces and focussing wheel. Unusually, they are signed: ‘Deraisme Fabt. (fabricant/maker) Paris. The original case is in very dark green leather, the outside in very good condition, with inside a rather spotty mirror, and somewhat deteriorated cream silk interior. One of the eye-piece lenses has a barely noticeable hair-line crack, not affecting the excellent visual properties.
Regency set of mahogany bed steps with three leather lined treads, two hinged tops and a pull out centre section, on turned feet.
