Bronze lifeboatman or pilot gig rower
A good bronze of a lifeboatman or pilot gig rower. Dressed in wet weather gear and a sou’wester hat on his head he holds a pair of oars. He is bare foot and has his trousers rolled up as are his sleeves.
Very well cast and finished with the original patination in good condition.
Antoine Bofill a Spanish sculptor (1875-1921). Signed in the bronze and also with a founders stamp –
“Bronze Guarantee au Titre LV Deposee” .
