A fine early 19th century Napoleonic French prisoner of war bone model of a 98 gun ship of the line, with open gun ports, some with brass cannon, deck fittings including capstans, companionways, decklights, etc, bound masts with yards and s’tuns’l booms, standing and running rigging with bone blocks, mounted on a straw work base within a contemporary straw work case with bone finials, having glass front and sides and a mirrored back allowing you to view the model from all sides, the front glass panel is removable to allow you greater access to the model. Minor defects.
