Ronald Ossory Dunlop R.A. N.E.A. A.R.A. R.B.A.
Irish artist and writer, born in Dublin. Lived in Barnham in Sussex Founder member of the ‘Emotionists’ School. Landscape, still life, flower and portrait painter. Studied at Manchester School of Art. Member of the London Group. Two paintings purchased by the Chantry Bequest for the Tate Gallery in 1937/40. Exhibited widely at The Institute of Painters in Oil – Beaux Arts Gallery, Brook Street, Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, Royal Society of British Artists and many others.
This picture was previously exhibited at Leicester Galleries, Leicester Square, in the “Articles of Fame and Promise” exhibition in 1943, details are on the back of the painting.
