A well coloured Staffordshire figure of Androcles and the lion. Androcles is seated on the right, bare-headed, bearded, with knee length tunic and sandals. The lion is squatting on the left, his right paw is on Androcles’s right knee and his left front paw is held in Androcles’s hand.
